OUR PHOTOGRAPHERS

Balázs Tóth Hungary's number one headshot photographer, one of the 100 best in the world. He has taken portraits of more than 2,000 people, including managers of companies such as Morgan Stanley, Wizz Air, Legrand, CBRE, HAYS.

Richard Halasi has been strengthening our team since 2020, and he can already boast of hundreds of satisfied customers. Richi learned the tricks of portrait photography from Balázs, so you will be in very good hands in front of his camera.

LOCATION

The photoshoot location depends on the agreement, either our studio or the location designated by your company.

The address of our studio: 1085 Budapest, József körút 65 (doorbell #31, 3rd floor)

PARKING

Due to the bike lane on József körút, it is unfortunately difficult to find a place around the house. If you arrive by car, we recommend that you park your car in the Corvin Plaza parking lot.

PHOTOGRAPHY PROCESS FOR CORPORATE CLIENTS

At the beginning of the photoshoot, we select from the clothes you brought. You can find a more detailed description of the recommended items of clothing below.

After that, for women we prepare makeup, which takes roughly 30 minutes. We create natural makeup for our business portraits that matches your style.

The duration of company photo shoots is typically 15-20 minutes per person. The pictures taken are instantly uploaded to a computer, so we can constantly look back at them together. Looking back at the pictures, we discuss the settings that work well for you, and we continue the session accordingly. You will choose the final images to be retouched with the photographer during the session.

We do not hand over raw images in any form. If you would like to purchase retouched images in addition to those financed by your company, you have the option to do so as well. We can discuss this during the photo shoot.

The retouched images are sent in digital form via a file sharing system, usually within 10 working days after the photo shoot to the contact person of your company.

HOW YOU SHOULD PREPARE

1. GOOD SLEEP

The most important rule is to try to rest properly the day before the photoshoot. Yes, we know, this is the most difficult task. :)

2. CLOTHES FOR PORTRAITS

Choose clothes in which you feel good for the photo shoot. We ask you to bring as many as possible , then we will choose together which ones to take photos with. Feel free to put together an entire suitcase-sized outfit! :)

The point is that the dress should have as simple a pattern as possible , without large inscriptions or ironed-on images. We recommend that you bring as many colours as possible, it can be darker or lighter, for portraits, completely plain colours are our favourites.

It is worth paying attention to the right size of the dress. Tight-fitting, slim-fit dresses look best in pictures. Make sure that when the neck of the shirt or blouse is fully buttoned, there is no more than 1 finger's space at your neck.

It is best to ask the opinion of an experienced shop assistant about the right size - e.g. Van Graaf in the Allee or Peek&Cloppenburg in the Arena.

It's okay if your clothes accidentally get wrinkled while traveling, there is an iron and a steamer in our studio.

3. RECOMMENDED DRESS SETS

You only need to bring tops for the headshot photos, but the pants and shoes will also be visible in the half-length and full-length portrait photos. Ask the contact person in your company what kind of photos are being made of your team.

For women: prettier blouses, blazers, plain tops, dresses with interesting necks, tight sweaters

Dresses with interesting necklines are best, however dresses with low necklines and high necklines do not look good in headshots.

For men : elegant plain shirts, thin jacket, tie, V-neck dark T-shirt, tennis T-shirt, thin jacket, maybe tracksuit

You might want to check out our portfolio to get an idea of what clothes others have brought that worked well.

Tip: If you don't have enough clothes, because e.g. you are transiting and you didn't bring enough clothes with you to Budapest, several clothing stores offer the option of returning the clothes you bought there within 30 days. Buy some nice new clothes, don't cut off the tag, and you can even take them back after the photo shoot.

4. ÉKSZEREK ÉS KIEGÉSZÍTŐK

Jewelry and watch

Feel free to bring more jewelry, and we will figure out the best combination for each set.

Small earrings and necklaces typically look best in headshot photos.

The hands can only be seen on the portraits, so your favorite watches and bracelets can also be included.

Glasses

If you wear glasses all the time, you should also take photos with them. If you sometimes use contact lenses, we will take pictures for you with and without glasses, just to be sure to cover all your looks.

We do not recommend taking pictures with reading glasses, because the distortion of the lens enlarges the eyes.

5a. MAKEUP AND HAIRSTYLE FOR WOMEN

Makeup

For women, the right makeup is essential for headshots and portraits. We work with several proven make-up artists who know well what kind of make-up looks good under studio lights.

It is best if you arrive without makeup. If you don't feel comfortable without makeup on the street, that's no problem, we'll help you wash it off in the studio.

Hairstyle

Hairstyle is a sensitive topic for women, we think that everyone should come with a hairstyle that they wear on a daily basis. It is best if you schedule it so that you go to your hairdresser shortly before the photo shoot. Come with freshly washed hair and bring your favorite straightener or hairspray.

During the photo shoot, the make-up artist and our photographer will help fine tuning your hair, so your hairstyle will look perfect even in the raw photos.

5b. MAKEUP AND HAIRSTYLE FOR MEN

Makeup

In the case of men, there is no need for make-up, minor skin defects can be corrected quickly during the post-production.

Hairstyle

If you use gel or like to do anything else with your hair, bring them to the photo shoot. If possible, make an appointment with your favorite barber 1-2 days before the photo shoot . We recommend the nearby Headonist salon, they also cut Balázs's hair!

Mustache and beard

If you're used to wearing a beard or scruff, we recommend that you come to the photo shoot with a few days' worth of beard. Then you can have the option to shave in the middle of the photo shoot, and then we can take a few clean-shaven pictures. For this, bring your razor and everything else you use to shave.
